Story
In the dazzling city of New York, there are powers that emerge only after dark. These are the Vampires, cold and dangerous beings. Many rival vampire factions operate here, forming alliances to defend their own territories.
Even in a world wrapped in darkness, New York hides conspiracies that are darker still. As you and your companions get drawn into various conflicts, you will see this shadowy side up close. Choose your Vampire side
At the beginning, you can pick a character to start your journey. Each character belongs to a particular faction, which gives your opening moments a distinct flavor. The three factions featured in the game are described below:
- Brujah: The rabble-born rebels who oppose the authority of high-ranking vampires and their corrupt order. The typical character you control appears to be an ordinary man, driven by a strong sense of purpose.
- Ventrue: A noble bloodline passed down through the generations, claiming pure blue blood. This wealthy family wields considerable influence in New York's underworld. If you select this lineage, you play as a high-ranking female executive within the family's company.
- Toreador: Artists and divas renowned for pursuing artistic breakthroughs. They are romantics, or souls with an artistic spirit pushed to the edge. The character you play is an artist with a fractured soul.
Gather your team
No heist or even a coup can succeed without a team. As you carry out missions across the city, you will meet new allies, who may turn into enemies if you handle situations poorly. Among the companions you can recruit are the cunning sorcerer Tremere, the sharp-minded detective Nosferatu, the fierce Gangrel, and the enigmatic Malkavian. Each has a story of their own, and how you win them over will determine their loyalty. Whether your team survives the journey together is a question only you can answer.
