Description
Camp Buddy is an adult visual novel created by Mikkoukun, built around non-linear storytelling and experimental gameplay that follows the conventions of the Boys' Love genre. Its concept is unusual: the developers left female characters out of the story entirely, centering everything on the connections between guys looking for friendship, romance, and mutual understanding. Eager to dive into these unique relationships and become part of such an eventful world? No problem at all, because this virtual universe is ready for unexpected discoveries!
Content, Atmosphere, and Difficulty
When it comes to gameplay, Camp Buddy doesn't stray far from its genre rivals. From the very beginning, the protagonist is expected to throw himself into the events happening around the camp. How the story develops, however, depends on the choices you make and your own preferences, meaning the dialogue options you pick during conversations. For example, you're free to befriend the camp counselors, grow closer to an old friend, or simply enjoy yourself without any real-world attachments.
This approach is likely to appeal to players who prefer a story without melodrama or moralizing. Where else can you find a world that gives you such freedom to shape your own destiny? Not many places. In Camp Buddy, though, making those decisions is easy.
