Description
YouTube Vanced may be gone, but its clean, simple experience is still fondly remembered by its users. Many other capable alternatives now offer similar features and, in some cases, better user experiences, though many fans still hope to see it reborn.
YouTube ReVanced APK is the official successor to Vanced. Although it is still in development, it already includes core YouTube Vanced features along with notable fixes that carry on the Vanced legacy. This article walks you through everything about the YouTube ReVanced App.
It Can Supplement YouTube
ReVanced can be downloaded as an alternative YouTube client for Android, much like YouTube Vanced. If the unfinished ReVanced app needs debugging, this option lets users switch back to the older version. Since it isn't fully available yet, some people wonder whether ReVanced is compatible with YouTube. From what I found, there is no sign that you need to uninstall YouTube to use ReVanced.
Compatible with Both Rooted and Non-Rooted Devices
You can install YouTube ReVanced on any device, whether or not it is rooted, by simply following a few easy steps. However, while the official app was not yet available, many Android users gave up on the idea of creating their own customized ReVanced APK.
It's easy to see why, since extracting these files and building your own software doesn't sound very fun, especially if you're used to downloading and installing an APK right away. Many users also assume that such procedures are meant only for rooted devices, which is not the case with YouTube ReVanced.
Ad Blocking Included
By letting users block both regular and video ads, ReVanced makes it possible to watch content without interruptions from advertisements. As a result, the app offers a smoother overall experience, with streaming that is more convenient and uninterrupted. I'm well aware of the important role these ads play, especially for the content creators I follow.
Still, I can't help but feel annoyed each time I have to sit through a video ad that I can't skip just to get my video to play. And what if I needed information from a video urgently, only for YouTube to hit me with three ads on something completely unrelated to what I was looking for? Imagine how frustrating that would be.
Background Playback
You don't have to split your screen to use YouTube while navigating other apps, because you can do both at once. This feature is useful for people who want to multitask, such as browsing the web or chatting with others, while their video plays on a minimized floating window in the background. Users can also dismiss the floating window entirely and just listen to the audio while using other apps on their Android device. The floating window can be moved anywhere on the screen.
As a podcast fan, I find this function incredibly helpful when I have tasks to handle on my phone but don't want to miss any important content from these sessions. I can keep listening to the podcast while I work. It has another benefit too: when you're busy with chores and only need the audio of a video, it saves data.
