XWidget is the Android edition of the popular free desktop customization platform XWidget for Windows. It is an extremely lightweight, highly customizable widget engine that comes with a powerful visual widget editor.

[Feature] 1. Offers a fresh approach to creating your own widgets on Android. 2. Cross-platform support: widgets you build on a PC work on both Windows and Android. Over 1000 widgets originally made for PC can be used on your Android phone or tablet! You can browse them on the official XWidget site or on DeviantART.

XWidget for Android Beta currently supports only Image/Text/NumbImage/Rotator controls and DateTimeCore/WeatherCore/BatteryCore. More controls and cores are in development.

3. All widgets can be resized on Android 4.0 and above. On older versions, you will need a custom launcher that supports this feature, such as ADW, Apex, GO Launcher, or Nova.

4. Visual widget designer for Windows PC: build your own widgets with XWidgetDesigner for Windows and send them to your Android device with one click to preview or run.

[Permissions explained] Write external storage: saves and loads widgets. Access network state: retrieves weather data and downloads widgets from the gallery. Device ID and call information: Google's AdMob requires this permission, but you can turn off all banners from the menu in the widget list screen. NO PAYMENT IS REQUIRED!
