Description
World of Empires
Here's a full-scale turn-based strategy game with a multiplayer mode, where you guide your civilization through research, expansion, and warfare as you work toward ruling the entire world.
Gameplay
To get started, set up a new game and choose the map size, terrain, climate, the amount and richness of resource deposits, the number of bots, the difficulty level, and more. Pick the victory conditions, then decide which nation you want to lead and which era your civilization will begin in. You can play as a wide range of very different countries.
You might lead the USA, Austria, Brazil, China, Canada, France, Great Britain, or any number of other nations, each with its own unique abilities. Once the game begins, you'll find yourself in a randomly generated world where your civilization starts to grow. Play proceeds turn by turn.
On each turn, you can erect a variety of buildings and train soldiers and other units to form a powerful army, which you can then send out to explore the world and engage your enemies.
As in any strategy title, you'll need to gather resources and unlock new technologies. You can also trade resources between your cities and form alliances, among other diplomatic options.
Game Features
This engaging strategy game gives you access to 26 unique civilizations, with nearly every one offering its own set of bonuses.
Pick the civilization you prefer and step onto a full world map, where you'll build your new empire from the ground up. You'll have 82 different buildings to construct across your territory.
You can recruit 54 kinds of fearless soldiers, research more than 80 distinct technologies, and make use of 14 landscape improvements. Plus, a handy map editor lets you craft your own original maps, which you can then play alone or with friends over a local network or online.
