Gameplay

After spending some time with Wild Cards, I noticed that its rules aren't overly complicated. At the start, you receive a random deck and can jump right into the action. In essence, you pick one card as your Hero, and the rest of your cards support that Hero throughout the match. Battles tend to move quickly, and a winner usually emerges within just a few turns.

More specifically, every turn you build up a certain amount of energy, and playing cards from your hand spends it. You can play up to three cards to boost your Hero's power, and these cards can also link together to trigger powerful combos. At the end of your turn, you decide whether to attack your opponent or keep gathering energy. Once your Hero's energy bar is full, you can unleash their special ability. What cards are included in Wild Cards?

As mentioned earlier, Wild Cards offers a broad selection of cards drawn from themes such as history, pirates, Egypt, Greek mythology, and more. Some of these themes are so unusual that you may find yourself laughing at how they ended up in a card game, especially sets like Felines, Food, and Anatomy. Each theme includes roughly 10 to 16 cards, building up a sizable collection.

Your battle deck, however, can hold a maximum of 13 cards: one Hero card and 12 support cards. This means you can assemble countless decks built around different strategies. During a match, played cards aren't removed permanently; they're shuffled back into your deck, so running out of cards isn't something to worry about too much. Keep in mind that cards from the same set can form interesting combos, so make the most of that synergy!

Trading Cards

In Wild Cards, if you want to add new cards to your collection, you can spend in-game currency on blind packs. The value of the pack you choose strongly affects your chances of pulling rare cards. Alternatively, you can visit the Marketplace to look for specific cards. This is where players trade under categories like Wanted and Offered. A long list appears there, and if you own a card another player is looking for, you can complete the trade right away.

If you prefer, you can also post a request for the cards you're missing. Wild Cards puts a strong emphasis on trading with friends, so it pays to build as many connections as you can. Keep in mind that this can sometimes get costly, since most of the cards players want are rare and often demand a price equal to or higher than their actual value. Stay alert, because sharks are always lurking, no matter where you go.
