Wi-Fi often drains a surprising amount of battery, mainly because the device keeps scanning for networks to join, even when no connection is active. This app switches Wi-Fi off to cut that drain, making it a handy battery saver.
Once the device detects that it has lost its wireless network connection, the Wi-Fi hardware shuts down after a short, appropriate delay.
The app keeps track of your nearby cell tower location to work out whether a Wi-Fi connection is likely to be available.
You can also show notifications in the status bar, review your connection history (PRO version), and have airplane mode switched off automatically while the app is active, among other options.
How to install
- Download the APK file above to your phone.
- Allow “Install unknown apps” when prompted.
- Open the downloaded APK and tap Install.
- If the package includes OBB/XAPK data, follow the bundled instructions.
