Description
WIBR+ [WiFi hack]
This app uses a brute-force method, meaning it automatically guesses passwords one after another. WIBR+ can attempt to crack any password, but how long that takes depends on the password's complexity and on whether it includes characters beyond numbers.
Features
WIBR+, short for WIfi BRuteforce hack, is a tool designed to crack weak passwords on nearby Wi-Fi hotspots. It cracks numeric passwords very reliably and fairly quickly. Since there is no way to know in advance which password a given network uses, the app can attack several hotspots at the same time.
Much like a classic PC brute-force tool, the utility lets you import custom wordlists. You can download dictionaries from the internet or build your own and save them as txt files. Then just transfer the file to your device and open it in the app.
Interface and design
The WIBR+ app has a minimalist look: a black background with orange text on gray buttons. This is a purely functional utility, though, and its strengths are stability, efficiency and performance rather than graphic design.
The menu is worth a closer look. Each network under attack has its own status bar. Tapping any of them shows detailed information about the process, including the number of passwords tested, the cracking speed (passwords per minute) and how many passwords are still left to check.
