Hacked Defender

In this fun game, your job is to stop monsters from reaching your castle walls. You'll rely on defensive towers and spells, steadily upgrading your defenses as you go.

First launch

The first time you open the game, pick an empty save slot and choose a difficulty level. You'll then see the castle walls, with waves of monsters marching toward them one after another.

If a monster reaches the wall, it starts tearing it down, and once the wall falls, you lose. On your very first run, a tutorial mode walks you through the mechanics in detail, covering the controls, buying and upgrading towers, using abilities, and more.

Gameplay features

Players must keep the advancing monsters away from their castle walls. You can do this with towers lined up along the perimeter, as well as with special abilities that go on cooldown after each use.

At the start, for example, you'll have access to a fireball with a fairly wide area of effect and a short 15-second cooldown.

As you advance, you can upgrade the fireball and unlock other spells. Stronger spells come with longer cooldowns.

One of Defender's standout features is that you control both your abilities and your towers. You can briefly interrupt the automatic fire of your defensive structures to target a specific monster, change a projectile's trajectory, or choose between single shots and volleys.
