Gameplay Features

This game puts you behind the wheel of a wide range of sports cars for thrilling races. Over time you'll unlock a sizable fleet, eventually gaining several dozen vehicles to choose from. Notably, this installment of the series leaves out the annoying police chases.

Instead, you'll face skilled rivals who are just as determined to cross the finish line first. What really makes the game shine is its well-crafted physics.

Cars handle in a fairly predictable way, which directly improves your race results. In other words, success here comes down entirely to your focus and driving skill.

Game Modes

The game offers the following modes:

1. Career.
2. Quick races (these don't reward in-game currency).
3. Drift.
4. Drag racing.

Each mode has its own appeal.

Visuals & Design

Although the gameplay still holds up, the game is clearly showing its age, especially in its graphics. Visually it earns a solid three out of five, and no more. Textures look quite rough and anti-aliasing is almost absent. Still, the look of these races was never the main draw.
