Description

VAG DPF Mod APK displays DPF statistics and regeneration phases through an ELM327 Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapter.

With this app, you can tell whether the filter is currently going through regeneration, whether another regeneration is still waiting to be completed, how many kilometers have been driven since the last regeneration, and other similar details.

Because it relies on CAN commands, the app needs a reasonably good ELM327 adapter (see the note below). Some users have reported success with an adapter priced between 10 and 15 euros. Unlike almost every other app, which uses standard OBD2 commands, this one sends CAN commands specific to each car model directly, which is why it doesn't work with every vehicle.

Main functions

• The app shows 12 DPF filter characteristics, including soot mass accumulated in the filter, regeneration duration, distance traveled and time since the previous regeneration, EGR valve closure, and exhaust gas temperatures at the DPF inlet and outlet. (Note: since engine ECU settings vary, the displayed data may differ depending on the engine type.)
• Settings can be updated manually or automatically.
• The previous value and the difference from the current value are displayed for every parameter (only when the automatic update delay is set to something other than 0 seconds).
• To speed up reading, you can remove one or more parameters.
• The display shows the filter fill percentage before the limit that triggers field regeneration (standard regeneration controlled by the engine ECU) is reached.
• Before a field or service regeneration begins, the fill percentage is shown graphically with a progress bar.
• A graphical filter status display shows a red filter during a regeneration phase (passive, field, or service), or a grey filter whose interior shading changes with the fill percentage.
• Extra data is available, including the adapter communication error counter, the filter fill rate in g/min, the update time for all 12 parameters, and the automatic update delay, which is set in the options menu.
• An icon in the notification bar indicates an active connection and the auto-update process.
