Legends of Libra is an archer-style action RPG where each character has a distinct charge attack. Pick from a range of skills, acquire and build your attacks, and fill charge gauges simply by walking. Beyond standard stage captures, the game offers plenty of modes, including high-difficulty challenges and co-op play with other players. Collect and upgrade gear with Hakusura, and take on boss characters with their own quirks and tricks!
ACTION BATTLES POWERED BY “CHARGE ATTACKS” WITH SIMPLE CONTROLS!
Simple controls make the game easy to pick up: slide to move and attack while standing still. Your gauge charges while you move, and once it's full, stop to unleash a “charge attack.” Each character's charge attack is different, so fight to their individual strengths. When you level up, three skills are chosen at random, and you pick one to acquire through the archer-style upgrade system.
COLLECT AND UPGRADE WEAPONS WITH HAKUSURA!
The game features hacks and lax elements, and weapons, armor, and upgrade materials drop from stages. Each weapon type changes your attack style a little, so choose the one that suits you. You can also spend funds to unlock “abilities” and boost your stats.
A VARIETY OF MODES, FROM CHARGE ATTACK STRATEGY TO MULTIPLAYER!
One of this title's highlights is that every character has a unique “charge attack.” The two starting characters are a short-range attacker and a long-range attacker, so start with whichever style you like. Working out how to use your charges and shaping your own fighting style is a lot of fun.
FAST, EXHILARATING, AND CRISP TO PLAY!
In most archer-style games, attacks are slow early on and it takes a while to take down enemies unless you upgrade. Legends of Libra, however, has relatively quick attacks and light character movement, so you can zip around right from the start. Stage lengths vary, but many maps are a little short, making the game feel crisp and refreshing.
PLENTY OF MODES, FROM MULTIPLAYER TO CHALLENGES!
Give the various modes a try. Multiplayer modes like “BLITZ,” where two players capture a stage together, and “CART DEFENCE,” where you protect a moving cart as you advance, are packed with full-fledged co-op action. There's also a challenge mode with a fairly high difficulty and tasty rewards, so if you commit to it, you'll be able to conquer it.
“LEGENDS OF LIBRA” EARLY GAME TIPS
Don't miss your chances to charge in Legends of Libra. In normal stages, don't aim for charge attacks constantly; save them for when the gauge is full and you need to focus on dodging. In boss battles, bosses often run away, so it's best to go for charge attacks actively. Diffusion-type Scattering Reflection is a strong, reliable route. Skills come in concentrated attack, spread attack, and melee attack types, so pick a line that can be strengthened within the same system.
For example, if you go the diffusion route, you can widen your shot direction and add attack reflection to increase your hit count and make your build stronger. You'll reach max level sooner than you might expect, and if you don't stick to one lineage, your attack power will be incomplete and boss battles will be tough.
