The world is facing serious danger. Terrorists are seizing shopping malls, train stations, and airports, making unrealistic demands of the authorities. You lead an elite squad of special forces operatives dispatched to the planet's most perilous hotspots to resolve the most critical crisis situations.

Gameplay takes the form of turn-based 5v5 team battles. You assemble a squad of five unique heroes, each with special skills and a distinct fighting style. Fights take place across a variety of urban locations that include both open ground and cover positions. In combat, you manually pick a character, choose which enemy to target, and decide which ability to use. A battle only ends once the enemy squad has been eliminated.

Between missions, you can return to base to strengthen your operatives by raising their experience and skills, and by buying new weapons and useful items. You can also recruit fresh characters and bring them into upcoming battles. If you grow tired of fighting bots, head to one of the arenas to take on random players.
