Game Rules
Almost everyone already knows how to play tic-tac-toe. Still, if you're trying this popular version for the first time, it's helpful to learn the basics. You'll see a game board split into 9 cells by 4 lines.
Before a match starts, players decide who will take X's and who will take O's.
If you're facing artificial intelligence, you're automatically assigned X's. Each player takes turns placing their mark in any empty cell on the board.
The aim is to line up three of your own pieces (X's or O's) in a row before your opponent does. Whoever completes the line first is declared the winner.
