Many saw it coming. In 2050, the sun released an enormous burst of energy into space, throwing our planet into chaos that lasted for centuries.

Evaluation: When the energy wave hit the Earth, a storm of radioactive particles spread across the atmosphere in a deadly, cancer-causing fog. The fog claimed lives without discrimination: the young and the old, the rich and the poor all fell in equal numbers. Only those who had heeded the warnings and sheltered in abandoned bunkers were spared.

Watchful survivors had hidden in bunkers originally built for nuclear war. Above ground, radioactive death was reaping its harvest, killing, mutating and reshaping the world. The few regions that still had clean water and farmable land were controlled by ruthless warlords and their armies.

Origin: It was in this world that a warrior known only as Raven would rise. A fighter who would save his people by bending the wasteland to his will, and who would one day become a legend. – Explore a merciless wasteland from an immersive first-person view. – Manage scarce resources such as ammunition, food and medical supplies. – Those who returned to the surface were restoring agriculture, building new communities and new ways of living.

It was within one of these communities that Raven was born and raised.
