Based on Aneko Yusagi's original works, the popular anime The Rising of the Shield Hero has finally received a role-playing game adaptation. You can relive some of the anime's most memorable scenes and try out the defense-focused fighting style of Naofumi, the Shield Hero. Stay loyal to The Rising of the Shield Hero and you can even take on the role of a traveling merchant, trading across the vast lands of Melromarc.
The combat system draws on the many skills and abilities available to the Shield Hero. They include "Vigilance," which shows where the enemy is aiming their weapon, "Seize," which traps foes that are targeting you, and "Protect," which lets you shield your allies.
Every city and town from the anime has been faithfully recreated, so you can explore all of Melromarc. The game offers much more than story and battles. Gather the ingredients needed to craft products and sell them on your journeys to become a "Traveling Merchant." Your actions shape how non-player characters (NPCs) across the world react when they see your "Reputation Points." These intricate mechanics, among others, bring the world of The Rising of the Shield Hero to life.
On top of that, a detailed leveling system lets you learn new abilities by infusing your shield with the various items you collect.
