The Long Drive: Road Trip Game is an offbeat car simulator adventure in which the player must cross the vast stretches of a scorching desert.

Gameplay here is fairly straightforward. There's no real plot to speak of, and none is really necessary. Along the way you'll come across plenty of abandoned houses as you drive through the desert.

The developer keeps the premise deliberately simple: the main character heads off to faraway places after receiving a letter from his mom, who invites him to visit her home and spend some time together. Naturally, he doesn't turn down such an invitation and agrees to make the trip.

Before hitting the road, you'll need to get your car in shape. Scrape off the old paint, give the exterior a fresh look, work on the bodywork, and then set off with confidence across the desert landscapes. Along the way you can stop at various gas stations or explore abandoned locations. You'll even have to take up arms here, since the desert is home to rabbits that look like zombies. It sounds strange, but that's exactly what draws players in.
