The world lies in ruins, and bloodthirsty monsters prowl the streets, spreading a deadly virus that turns people into their next victims. You play as one of the last survivors, forced to pick up a weapon and fight your way to a safe zone through dark streets and abandoned buildings.

Gameplay follows the standard formula of a first-person shooting gallery: your character stays in one spot and can only turn on the spot to take down zombies closing in from every direction. Your character moves to a new position automatically, but only after you've dealt with a set number of monsters. Your arsenal includes pistols, assault rifles, shotguns, various rifles, machine guns, and hand grenades. The left side of the screen handles aiming, while the buttons on the right let you fire, reload, throw grenades, and use first aid kits.

Finishing levels and missions earns you money, which you can spend on upgrading your current weapons, buying armor, and boosting your main character's stats. Each new location brings greater challenges and more interesting gameplay, with new enemy types and tougher bosses to face.
