Shoppers will start arriving, commenting on your prices as they browse. When they're ready to pay, you handle the transaction. Customers typically pay in cash or by card. For cash, you must return the exact change shown on the register. For card payments, you simply enter the amount to be charged.

In my view, card payments make the checkout process much quicker, although it's your customers who choose the method, so you don't get a say. If the cashier job starts to wear you down, you can hire someone to take over and enjoy a well-earned break. Just remember to check the shelves regularly and restock any that are running low.
