Line up the heading indicator line with the sun line, sunrise line or sunset line, and the direction your phone is facing is the direction the sun will be. Phone compasses are often imprecise, but you can usually improve accuracy by moving the phone in a figure-eight pattern. You can also judge accuracy by pointing the phone at the actual sun and checking how far off it appears. Permissions: The app requests no more permissions than are strictly necessary for it to work. It uses the Google Maps API, which requires access to external storage and network access, and it needs location data to show your current position. The developer does not track or collect any information about users of this app, but tracking or data collection performed by the Google Maps API is outside of that statement.
