Description
Step by step, learn to recognize and sing musical notes. SolFaMe comes with a voice tuner and a range of exercises built for both beginners and seasoned singers.
☆ Features ☆
✓ Learn to identify each note by its spelling and sound. ✓ Train your musical ear. ✓ Sing musical intervals. ✓ Practice telling sharps and flats apart. ✓ Write your own sheet music, then listen to it or sing it. ✓ Apply what you've learned in a variety of fun games. ✓ Adapted to both low and high vocal ranges. ✓ Includes notes in Latin (Do Re Mi) and English (A B C) notation.
☆ App sections ☆
The app includes a tuner, where you can match your voice to the note you pick and see on a staff how close you are to singing the exact pitch. The tuner also works with the piano, so you can use it to tune your instrument and get it ready to play. It's also handy for warming up your voice before a session.
The exercises section is split into difficulty levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), so you can start from scratch and move forward at your own pace. It offers several different types of exercises. Some have you sing into the microphone, while others don't need your voice at all and instead rely on screen taps to help you learn the notation (spelling) and sound of each note. A scoring system is also included so you can track your progress.
The exercises are:
– The musical notes – Note spelling – Train your ear – Sharps and flats – Sing the notes – Singing intervals – Singing sharps and flats
Compose your own sheet music in the app's built-in editor. Create a piece, play it back with different instruments and then try singing it. The tool supports various clefs, time signatures and key signatures.
The app also features a section of voice-controlled games, where your voice acts as the controller for a character. That way you keep practicing while having fun. Put your vocal cords to the test and warm up with the different exercises. The collection of voice-controlled games will keep growing, so keep an eye on updates.
☆ Recommendations and permissions ☆
For best results, use the app in a quiet environment so the microphone picks up mainly your voice or your instrument. Although it's designed for tuning the human voice, feel free to bring another instrument (in the right scale) up to the microphone, such as a piano or violin, and let us know how it goes. We'll keep working on SolFaMe to give musicians and singers a great tool, whether you're learning as a beginner or refining your skills as a veteran.
The app needs microphone access for the tuner and voice training exercises. SolFaMe does not collect any information or record the user's voice. See the privacy policy for more details.
