This app installs two launcher icons. Tap the 'recorder' icon to start recording, or tap 'settings' to adjust recording options. The 'recorder' icon can be disguised as any of the listed icons, such as Notepad, Map, Microphone, Gallery, Photos, Settings, or Mail.

You can also use the 'Auto record' screen to schedule background video recording to start at a set time.

Depending on the device manufacturer, a notification sound may play when recording starts. If so, change the shutter mute mode on the 'SpyC Recorder settings' screen. If none of the modes works, try the 'Manual unmute' mode.

The orientation of background video recordings can be changed to suit your needs.

Notifications, on-screen messages, and vibration feedback can be turned on or off.

The preview size can be adjusted from 10% to 50% of your device's width and dragged anywhere on the screen. Secret Video Recorder even works with the device lock screen, and other non-camera apps remain usable while recording. Recording also continues during phone calls. (Note: the preview can be turned off entirely.)
