Scorpion is a single-deck solitaire card game from the Spider family of solitaire games. Its suit sequences are built directly in the tableau, and only complete runs from King down to Ace are moved to the foundation. Gameplay is similar to Yukon. At the start, all but three cards are dealt into the tableau, which is built downward by suit. A single card or a group of cards can be moved between tableau piles when the starting and target cards are in descending order and share the same suit. The other cards in the group do not need to follow any order. The three remaining cards in the stock can be dealt at any time onto the first three tableau piles. There are two variations: Scorpion Solitaire and Wasp Solitaire. In Scorpion Solitaire, an empty tableau pile can only be filled with a King or a sequence starting with a King, while in Wasp Solitaire, an empty pile can take any card or group of cards. When a player completes a sequence in the tableau (King to Ace), it is automatically moved to an empty foundation. Moving a single card from the tableau to the foundation is not allowed.
