Put simply, MirrorLink is a technology that keeps a smartphone continuously linked to the car's head unit and shows the phone's menus on the car's display. You don't just see the screen; you can also control any of the phone's apps remotely. Getting started with MirrorLink takes just three easy steps:
MirrorLink is built on VNC, a network computing technology that lets business users operate applications on a remote desktop. The car's system fully mirrors the smartphone's user interface, and if the screen sizes differ, the image is scaled to fit.
When a phone is paired with a car, the mobile device supplies all the necessary apps and runs them using its own hardware, while the infotainment system presents the information to the driver and connects input controls such as the steering wheel, touchscreen, and extra buttons.
How to install
- Download the APK file above to your phone.
- Allow “Install unknown apps” when prompted.
- Open the downloaded APK and tap Install.
- If the package includes OBB/XAPK data, follow the bundled instructions.
