Description
Rota's Chronicles of Trade is a city-building and trade simulation game that draws players into the tale of Rota, a princess whose forest kingdom is struggling economically under steep tariffs set by a neighboring king. Determined to bring prosperity back to her homeland, Rota sets out on a seafaring trading venture from the lively harbor town of Portamare. Players grow the town by looking after its varied residents, including farmers, merchants, and sailors, each bringing special talents to the trade process. Using a range of ships for ocean voyages, players negotiate import and export deals and build facilities to produce goods. The game showcases charming pixel art, with residents animatedly going about their lives throughout the town, and it features annual ranking events that measure Portamare's growth. As players handle the intricacies of trade and forge new ties with other countries, they work toward restoring the forest kingdom's former prosperity.
