[root] LiveBoot MOD APK (Pro Unlocked) 1.92
- Apps
- Tools
LiveBoot is a boot animation that displays logcat and dmesg output on your screen in real time. You can customize the output with options for logcat level, buffer and format, choose whether to show dmesg, set how many lines fit on screen, enable word wrap, and turn on color coding. The background can also be made transparent so it overlays the stock boot animation, which looks great while the device starts up. Description
LiveBoot is a boot animation that displays logcat and dmesg output on your screen in real time. You can customize the output with options for logcat level, buffer and format, choose whether to show dmesg, set how many lines fit on your screen, enable word wrap, and turn on color coding. The background can also be made transparent so it overlays the existing boot animation, which looks great while the device starts up.
A built-in feature lets you test your current configuration without rebooting. Lines shown in test mode may be limited and relatively static, so this does not exactly reproduce boot-time behavior; it simply shows that the setup works and how large the text will appear.
Note that LiveBoot only appears after the data partition is mounted. If you need to enter a decryption key or pattern at boot, it will not show up until you have done so.
Root
This app requires root access, specifically SuperSU version 2.40 or newer, or a recent version of Magisk, because of how the boot-time code is launched. Alternatively, the app may work on other rooted firmware that supports init.d, but this is not officially supported and cannot be guaranteed.
Compatibility
The application officially targets Android 5.0 and above. That said, real-world compatibility can vary across different smartphones and tablets. While it has run successfully on several test units across varied builds, it might not work on every device. Furthermore, passing the in-app test run is not a 100% guarantee that it will launch properly at boot time, even though it typically does.
Because of this variability, ongoing functionality cannot be promised indefinitely; an upcoming firmware or OS upgrade might cause it to stop working even if everything runs smoothly right now. If that uncertainty concerns you, upgrading to the Pro version may not be advisable.
While the chances of experiencing a bootloop are minimal, they are never zero. If your device ever gets stuck during startup, you can easily resolve the issue in custom recovery by deleting either the APK itself or the /system/su.d/0000liveboot file.
Your current ROM must permit writing directly to the /system partition unless you run SuperSU under systemless mode. Keep in mind that a flashable ZIP installation via custom recovery is currently unavailable.
Pro
Upgrading to the Pro tier via in-app purchase backs ongoing development while granting access to custom transparency controls, logcat buffer adjustments, and output formatting tools.
If you previously purchased legacy live logcat or live dmesg boot animation utilities, having those installed will unlock Pro mode automatically as well.
Similarly, installing the standalone APK directly on a device without Google Play services will immediately activate the Pro tier.
Finally, an option to unlock Pro mode free of charge is built directly into the app for users who prefer not to make a purchase.
Script
Whenever /system/su.d/0000liveboot.script or /su/su.d/0000liveboot.script is detected (with permissions set to chmod 0644 instead of the usual 0700 in those folders), the system executes that custom script rather than logcat and dmesg, displaying standard output (stdout) in white and error streams (stderr) in red.
