Your mission is to guide a band of soldiers over a three-hundred-mile journey to face and defeat the Demon Lord. Every quest you finish and every monster you slay brings more gold and makes your army stronger. You can sit back and let your troops squabble among themselves, or step in and lend them a hand. Dying with your entire army wiped out means no respawn. You lose everything you own, including troops, currency, and supplies (artifacts are the exception), and you must start the mission over from the beginning. Collecting as many artifacts as you can gives you the best shot at beating the game’s toughest bosses, and each victory over them earns you even more artifacts.

Inside this endless loop, you can train your soldiers, take down dangerous monsters, and venture through perilous dungeons. While idle, you can boost your quests so you earn coins faster. There are no tedious controls to worry about, since you can progress through most of the game just by sitting back. You will also gather a wide range of helpful ingredients and artifacts, which your party uses to cook meals that enhance their abilities.
