RimWorld Pocket Edition is a procedurally generated open-world sandbox with a sci-fi setting and unpredictable storylines. Its fictional universe unfolds in real time, shaped by an unseen AI storyteller who writes the narrative as you play.
It is this hidden storyteller that decides which challenges your chosen characters will face (you begin with three heroes who have survived a spaceship crash) and when they will meet aliens, unknown diseases, or valuable resources. The storyteller affects everything at once, so every playthrough feels distinct.
Atmosphere, gameplay, and difficulty
RimWorld on Android quickly sets out its gameplay rules and teaches your stranded castaways not to rely on ancient technology or supplies they have yet to find. The whole tutorial centers on interacting with the world: you learn how to manage colonists, which resources to collect, and which events to steer clear of. The introduction takes a fair amount of time, so newcomers are advised not to skip the tips and to start exploring the world around them right away.
From there, you will need to help your virtual inhabitants build a colony on the planet, drawing on your full strategic skill set.
