Background: If you try to view your photos and videos in date order in a gallery app, sorting by filename often fails, because photo filenames start with "IMG_" or "PANO_" and video filenames with "VID_" or "MOV_" (depending on your device). Panoramas and videos end up at the bottom of the list. Sorting by EXIF date taken does not work either, since videos contain no EXIF data, so they appear at the end or beginning. Sorting by the filesystem's "date modified" usually works well on the original device, but once you copy files to another device, the copy date becomes the new "date modified," which scrambles the original order.
