Gameplay
Project Stars is a sandbox that supports multiplayer. In practice, you'll be playing on a server where hundreds of other players can join, and you can explore the world alongside your friends. What immediately stands out is the sheer scope of the game: this isn't limited to a single small planet with a few resources, since you get an entire universe to work with. Pick a star system, launch your ship, then choose a planet and a landing spot, and descend there in a capsule.
Before launching, though, you'll need to create your character, and the customization options are seriously impressive. You can choose non-standard races such as nature-attuned or technology-attuned humans, and you can adjust nearly everything, including eyes, nose, mouth, clothing colors, shuttle design, and many other details. If you enjoy deep customization, you could easily lose a couple of hours in the character editor alone, tweaking every single parameter.
Game Features
Naturally, the game won't leave you completely on your own after landing. You'll need to complete quests and a tutorial first. Skipping it means you won't receive your starter sonic blaster, which you'll need in order to mine resources.
The resource gathering system is quite simple: smash a rock to get stone, chop a tree to get wood, and you can break almost anything lying on the ground. You can also scan objects to add them to your database and learn what they're used for.
To craft different objects and items, you'll need to learn their blueprints. This isn't hard, but unlocking them requires gathering resources and reaching a certain level. You earn experience toward leveling up from almost every activity, including hunting monsters and collecting resources. Monsters also need to be defeated for survival, since your character requires food, which won't simply be lying around. Hunting and cooking will be your lifeline.
On top of that, planetary conditions can be quite harsh, so you'll have to craft various pieces of gear to cope with them. 3 10 Feb Additional Information:
