Plants vs Zombies - Crazy Multiverse is a tower defense game in which you battle hordes of zombies that pour through portals into parallel realities. Expect the classic flowers and dancing mushrooms, along with allies drawn from other fantasy worlds and cyberspace. Combine plants with unexpected abilities to build your defenses, and work out how to halt the invasion in every dimension.
Description
The game's universe is a kaleidoscope of alternate realities, where the laws of physics and logic shift from one level to the next. In one world the dead wear knightly armor, in another they become cyborgs with laser eyes, and in a third they drift over the battlefield in pumpkin UFOs. The story centers on a mad professor who accidentally tore open portals between dimensions, leaving you to clean up the mess his experiments created.
Your main objective is to protect your home, or its alternate versions such as a castle, a space station, or an underground bunker, from waves of the undead. To do so, you position flowers on a limited area, making the most of their unique properties: some slow enemies, some explode, and others build barricades. There are no one-size-fits-all solutions, because the rules change in every universe. In the magical world, for example, sprouts need mana instead of sunlight, while in the cyber universe you must first hack the defense system to activate traps.
Gameplay pushes you to plan your tactics for every battle. You start by gathering resources through energy generators, then form defensive lines based on where the enemies will advance. Crazy Multiverse still has its surprises, though: sudden bosses, shifting landscapes, and weather effects such as blizzards and acid rain that change how well your plants perform. Some missions switch to a "reverse invasion" mode, letting you play as the zombies so you can learn their tactics and find their weak points.
The campaign features a branching storyline in which your choices shape the ending. You'll also find daily challenges with a restricted set of plants and cooperative missions for two players.
