Saratoga is a turn-based strategy wargame with addictive gameplay that is easy to pick up and enjoy. Packing a full-featured PC experience into a pocket-sized package, it offers seven AI-driven scenarios along with a sandbox mode for endless warfare.

Saratoga features seven scenarios, most of them inspired by real historical battles. Some engagements were adapted to make them more playable, ranging from small skirmishes to large-scale clashes. They include:

* A large roster of units under your command, all rendered in crisp pixel art. British forces include Line Infantry, Guard Grenadiers, Guard Infantry, Light Infantry, German Loyalists, Indians, and Medium and Light Artillery. The American side features Musket and Rifle Militia, Continental Regulars, Veteran Infantry, Light Infantry, Riflemen, and Medium and Light Artillery. The order of battle even includes small warships called bateaux.

* No two units are alike. Each one fills a distinct role on the battlefield, giving players plenty of tactical choices.

Once you've finished the campaigns, a sandbox mode opens up for endless replay. It includes earlier sandbox maps along with a brand-new map called King's Mountain. A new Fight to the Death mode has been added as well.

* Classic wargaming elements such as the morale line, line of sight, and the importance of terrain are all present.

A brand-new system of leader points is introduced. You will never have enough to do everything you want or need.

* Leader points can be spent on leading units into combat for a combat bonus, ordering a double-time march, and recovering or rallying troops that have routed or become disorganized.

* Pixel Soldiers introduces several features being revealed for the first time. These include a Routing Phase at the end of each turn that delivers more in-game feedback, making melee combat more dangerous than ever.
