Description

Pedestrian Voice Navigator Pro is built mainly for hikers and backcountry adventurers, offering navigation designed for off-road terrain. If the thought of getting lost in a forest, desert or swamp worries you, this app can give you real peace of mind. It is also a valuable companion for anglers and anyone who likes to explore on an ATV.

Simply mark a waypoint or follow the route you took on the way out, just like Hansel and Gretel leaving breadcrumbs, and the app will lead you back to your starting point or waypoint, announcing each turn by voice.

How does it differ from car navigators? The difference is straightforward: a car navigator relies on a map, but forests and open terrain have no roads to map. This app skips maps entirely and works from your GPS signal and the waypoints you set to plot your route. You can walk at any pace, and the measurement accuracy stays the same. Why does the app rely on voice instructions?

The reason is simple: it keeps your eyes and hands free for what matters most. If you constantly glance at a car navigator's screen, you have to hold the device with one or both hands and cannot watch the path ahead, which is risky when you are out in the wild.

How is it different from the first version of "I'm Going Home"? The main upgrade is the ability to reuse the same route for your return trip, along with full voice announcements of distance walked, distance remaining, elapsed time, remaining time and the TTS system.

Does the app need an Internet connection? No, navigation works without one, although some secondary features do use it.

How many routes or waypoints can it store? As many as your device's memory allows, so the only real limit is your available storage.
