Description

Output Pasture is a casual strategy project with plenty of tactical depth. You lead Earth's wildlife in a fight against an invading alien army of soulless robots. Your job is to destroy every opponent and then take down the next enemy fortification, repeating the cycle until no invaders remain on the planet. You'll also find a wide range of units to command. There are many of them, and the way you send them into battle works differently from what you'd expect in similar games. Each victory not only lets you advance to a new stage but also unlocks additional fighter sets, which matter a lot, since the opponent steadily grows in both numbers and quality.

You take on the role of the animal kingdom. At first you command ordinary puppies, and later you unlock birds, mammoths, lions, bears, and many other creatures. The game stands out with its high-quality pixel-art locations, a large roster of creatures, engaging mechanics, and bright, colorful environments.

The gameplay closely follows the 'wall versus wall' strategy format: you summon warriors who march out to meet the enemy army. As mentioned earlier, the soldiers are animals. They appear on the left side of the screen and advance toward the enemy on their own. All you need to do is tap the cards showing different animal species to summon them. The cards travel along a kind of conveyor belt, so you have to tap a card before it slides away. Once the enemy building falls, you can move on to the next stage.

Each victory earns coins, which you spend on new character cards, and you should also upgrade your units regularly. Enemies grow tougher over time, so you'll need to work hard to clear each new level. The art style of the locations is wonderfully charming, and the cheerful background music keeps the experience from getting dull.
