Gameplay
Before you start using this app, you'll need to install the official Orbot Proxy program first. This service helps protect your data by encrypting your traffic.
The app offers all the usual features you'd expect from a standard browser, along with extras like guest mode, which lets you browse sites in incognito.
The app works in a straightforward way: when you go online, it first connects to the Tor network. There, your data traffic is passed through several relay nodes to an exit node, and from there it reaches the regular Internet and the destination server.
For the highest level of security, it's also recommended to use HTTPS connections while browsing with the Orfox browser.
Otherwise, your data may travel across the Internet unencrypted once it leaves the Tor network. Within the app, only traffic from this browser is routed through Tor. If you'd like to send all data traffic from every app on your smartphone or tablet through the Tor network, you'll need a different app for that.
Key Features
The browser comes with the HTTPSEverywhere and NoScript extensions preinstalled, and its built-in search engine doesn't track its users. You can import bookmarks and adjust the text size. When you close the browser, the service automatically clears your download history, cache, search history, and more.
