PEOPLE WHO CATCH YOU

The enemy in this battle for the truth is everyone who appears around you. They work like cameras that record every slip you make, so you have to stay on guard. Moving a little slowly is fine, but acting carelessly and making mistakes is not. Some characters, such as guards and scientists, keep a close watch on you. As you advance through the levels, the scrutiny becomes even tighter. It often feels like there are followers wherever you go.

OCTOPUS SUSPICION METER

The suspicion that non-player characters feel toward you builds up and is tracked on a meter. It shows how much of your secret the enemies have noticed. Every mistake you make pushes the meter higher, depending on how closely you are being watched. The meter has a maximum, and once it fills completely, you have been exposed too much. The penalty is to restart from the nearest checkpoint.

MULTIPLE LEVELS, MULTIPLE GOALS

Like many adventure games, Octodad is divided into several levels that grow more difficult as you progress. Each level comes with a set of goals you need to complete.
