Description
Neon Abyss: Infinity is a pixel platformer built around randomly generated levels, where players smash enemies and crates to gather experience and coins for leveling up. What I appreciate is that the game uses manual controls, and the basics are taught through hands-on practice rather than being spoon-fed by a guiding hand, unlike many other free-to-play titles. Since it also leans into roguelike design, you never really know what's waiting around the next corner. Another standout feature is the eggs floating behind your character. The further you progress, the better your chances of hatching pets from them, and these companions lend a hand in combat. To beat the same bosses more easily, you'll also want to collect masks from chests. One example is the Panda mask, which raises your Evil Spirits limit based on your empty HP hearts. Boss fights, meanwhile, reward careful observation of each foe's fighting style, all set to a driving soundtrack that keeps the adrenaline going.
