Gameplay

Originally designed as an adventure and combat role-playing game, Mushroom Knight lets you craft equipment, forge weapons, and upgrade your gear and skills very often. The aim is to give players room to try out a variety of combat strategies while advancing fast enough to take on the most ferocious monsters.

The game also features a pet system that offers real help when exploring and battling through dungeons. Later on, you can combine pets to unlock even more surprises.

In Mushroom Knight, you take on the role of a tough Knight of the Mushroom Kingdom, the only hero with a wide range of special abilities capable of standing against the monsters swarming across the land.

The Mushroom Kingdom was once a very different place. It was peaceful, with birds singing and many species living side by side in harmony, and war was unheard of. Then one day, monsters appeared out of nowhere. They trampled, seized, and made life miserable for the people. At this pace, no one knows how long the land can endure before it is devastated.

That's where you come in. As a hero with many abilities, skills, advanced crafting techniques, and the support of a band of pets, you are the one who can destroy the monsters and save the Mushroom Kingdom.

Earn points to craft and upgrade your powers

While fighting, every monster you defeat rewards you with EXP points and bonuses. Bonuses let you buy the items and important resources you'll need for crafting later on.

Experience points accumulate steadily to level up your character. Each level makes you stronger, tougher, and better able to fend off enemies.

Learn new skills and abilities

With the help of village chiefs, each time you enter a new land in the Dwarf Mushroom Kingdom and defeat the boss guarding it, you'll get the chance to meet that village's chief. The friendly chief will teach you new combat skills, and over time you'll build up a growing set of powerful techniques.

New abilities also unlock as you finish key missions. Combining these skills in different ways helps your character fight more effectively.

Advanced crafting techniques

What sets our Knights apart is their talent for creating many unique items, equipment, and weapons for battle. With enough resources in hand, a Knight can combine them in countless ways to forge swords, shields, bows, and arrows, or support gear such as armor and hoods.

The more varied the resources you find, the more effective your crafting becomes. And once your EXP is high enough, showing that your Knight has been significantly upgraded, your crafting speed rises accordingly.
