Description

Modified Mi Home by Vevs is the same Xiaomi smart home app, now with more accurate translations of actions, conditions, and statuses.

Features:

• Added translations for actions and conditions, some statuses, and device cards for many devices (many thanks to Alex Kvazis for the collected data!). Also includes some tweaks to translations and interface layout.
• To make future translation easier, all cloud data is requested in English localization, and plugins are told to use English as well (since some of them default to Chinese when the requested locale is missing). Unlike the forum version, English is not replaced with Russian, so both languages stay available.
• UPD: As more plugins are translated by the manufacturer (though most of them are hard to look at without tears), the forced English localization (see the update from 14/01/18) now applies only to plugins whose default language is Chinese. All other plugins will use the language selected in the system, while the list of "especially gifted" plugins is forced to English, since Russian is still not among them.
• Added the ability to save various string data (statuses, actions, notifications, and tokens) to a file on the memory card for easier translation (details in the article).
• Changed the plugin storage location so they can be replaced without manual root access. Unlike the forum solution, which uses the root of the external drive, this one uses the standard app folder on external storage, i.e. "/sdcard/Android/data/com.xiaomi.smarthome/files". This location lets you uninstall the app through the system, which automatically deletes the plugin folder, a behavior that seems right to me.
• Restored the ability for scripts to disable themselves. The manufacturer seems to have gotten tired of handling cyclically executed conditions and simply turned this feature off, which reduces flexibility somewhat. Use it wisely and carefully.
• Removed the weather change condition, which is useless in our region and was an eyesore, as it is specific to China.
• Disabled most of the Chinese-only interface elements (store, recommended scenes, voice control, consumables, etc.), so the app looks as if a region outside mainland China is selected. Basic functionality was briefly checked and appears unaffected, but it needs real-world testing. I'm waiting for feedback in the comments if anyone is interested.
• Disabled the voice control button and the news banner in settings.
• Disabled on-screen ads and the push notifications that come with them.
• Disabled the new phone number authorization page, so the usual Mi Account login opens by default.
• Added color separation for cloud and local scenarios: in the scenario list (except the child device list), cloud scenario names are displayed in dark blue.
• Added display of the device token in network properties, as well as the script identifier (us_id) in its properties. The device token, script ID, and user ID can be copied to the clipboard with a long tap.
