The protagonist of MEGA MAN X DiVE is a longtime fan of the Mega Man series, and like every time he sits down with one of these titles, trouble strikes. Some archived data has gone wrong, and he is pulled into the cyberspace portal known as the Deep Log, a digital repository built to store everything about Mega Man. To put things right inside this space, the player must team up with the admin, and the first character available is X.

X is a figure most players will find instantly recognizable, since he is one of the series' main heroes. With his blue armor, he carries the powerful X-Buster, a weapon capable of firing strong blasts. Expect to face many enemies you already know from the Mega Man games. The auto-aim feature helps you control him with both hands and land your shots with pinpoint accuracy.

EXPLORE VARIED STAGES

Because the environments you travel through feel so familiar, MEGA MAN X DiVE lets you relive the memories you built with the series. The first stage is based on the opening screen of Mega Man X3, and insectoid machines along with Maoh the Giant will appear before you. Learn to spot their weak points so you can counterattack, and remember to keep your guard up against incoming attacks.

Alongside X's ranged weapon, you can also equip the Z-Saber, the signature weapon of X's friend Zero. This laser blade is built for close-range combat. Using weapons requires you to stay near enemies without taking damage, and switching continuously between the Buster and the Saber will help you build up powerful multi-attack combos.

UNLOCK NEW CHARACTERS AND WEAPONS

Playing MEGA MAN X DiVE means meeting an impressive cast. Frontline heroes such as X, Zero, and Axl appear alongside other members of the Maverick Hunters. Villains like Sigma and Vile also return to challenge you. To recruit these characters, you'll need to collect their puzzle pieces.

You can summon certain characters using the resources you gather, and each character's info page shows where to find their puzzle pieces. Building your full team will take a while. You'll also receive weapons during the game that you can equip to your characters. Don't forget to level them up to boost their strength and handle tougher stages.
