MailGatePrint – Email-based Print Server is a Tools Android app developed by Mobile Dynamix that you can install on your Android devices and start using right away!
MailGatePrint turns an Android device into a print server that is simple to set up and run. Instead of relying on a cloud service, it works through email. Connect an Android device and a printer, and you can offer printing to anyone – friends, family, coworkers, customers or clients – wherever they happen to be. They only need to email the files they want printed.

To begin, connect your Android device – a tablet, phone or similar – to a printer over WiFi, Bluetooth or USB. The driver is downloaded and installed automatically. We support printers from major manufacturers such as HP, Canon, Brother and Epson, along with a wide range of specialty and label printers.
Next, set up an email address to serve as your printing gateway. We recommend a dedicated address, such as a Gmail account, used only for this purpose. Users send their attachments to this address to request printing. Most common file formats are supported, including PDF, Microsoft Office documents (DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, PPT/PPTX), image files (PNG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIF) and many more.
When a print job arrives from an unknown sender, it needs your approval first. MailGatePrint keeps white and black lists: a sender is added to the white list when you approve them, or to the black list when you reject them.
You can manage MailGatePrint directly on the device or by email, which is handy if the device has no screen or keyboard or is hard to reach. It even runs on a Raspberry Pi or another similar IoT device with Android Things. Whenever your input is needed, you will get an email asking you to reply.
MailGatePrint can be tried for free, but using it fully requires a monthly subscription to the Premium version. The free version limits the number of incoming print jobs per day, while Premium has no such restrictions.
