Magic ViewFinder lets you simulate anamorphic or teleconverter adapters on your camera. You can find these options in the menu. From the same menu, you can also pick the aspect ratio for the frame guide that overlays your image.

Magic ViewFinder also lets you apply color presets, known as LUTs, to the live image. This gives you a much closer preview of your final shot.

Once you have found the perfect view, you can save it along with extra details such as focal length, tilt, date and time, and camera or lens information.

For better control over your photos, you can lock the exposure before capturing. You can also switch autofocus on or off to improve image quality. To keep your subject sharp, the autofocus runs at a constant center speed.

When the real camera has a wider field of view than your device's built-in one, Magic ViewFinder adds padding around the image. The device simply cannot display what its own sensor cannot capture. This is our best solution to the problem, and other viewfinder apps have since copied the approach.

Note that the position of your Android device corresponds to the nodal point of your actual lens, which sits somewhere between the center and the edge of the lens. This is the center-weighted point of your optics.

Depth of Field Tool: To check depth of field, tap the DOF icon. The app will calculate the near and far limits of your DOF and let you adjust the aperture or focus distance.
