Description
Mages Survival is a roguelike at heart, so every run is randomly generated and death is permanent. Your goal is to last as long as possible using your magic spells, while collecting valuable treasure along the way. You can also tailor your mage with traits, items, and game modes.
The controls are simple and intuitive, with one-hand play and auto-aim, making the game comfortable on mobile devices. Tap the screen to move your mage and cast spells, and swipe to dodge incoming enemy attacks. You can pause at any time to open your inventory, where you can equip items, swap spells, and check your stats.
There are six mages to choose from, each with a unique element and their own set of spells. You can unlock them by completing specific achievements or by spending gems, the game's premium currency. The mages are:
- Fire Mage: A specialist in fire magic, capable of conjuring fireballs, fire walls, and fire storms.
- Ice Mage: A specialist in ice magic, capable of conjuring ice shards, ice spikes, and ice blasts.
- Lightning Mage: A specialist in lightning magic, capable of unleashing lightning bolts, lightning chains, and lightning storms.
- Earth Mage: A specialist in earth magic, capable of raising earth spikes, earth walls, and earthquakes.
- Water Mage: A specialist in water magic, capable of summoning water bubbles, water waves, and water vortexes.
- Wind Mage: A specialist in wind magic, capable of launching wind blades, wind gusts, and wind storms.
Mages Survival features a wide range of magic spells to help you fight enemies and stay alive. You can equip up to four spells at once and swap them whenever you like from the inventory. Spells can be upgraded using coins, the game's standard currency. Spells fall into three categories:
- Offensive Spells: These deal damage to enemies and may apply effects such as burning, freezing, or stunning. Examples include Fireball, Ice Shard, and Lightning Bolt.
- Defensive Spells: These protect you from enemy attacks and may provide effects such as shielding, healing, or teleporting. Examples include Fire Wall, Ice Spike, and Lightning Chain.
- Utility Spells: These support you in different ways, boosting your stats, summoning allies, or setting traps. Examples include Fire Storm, Ice Blast, and Lightning Storm.
Traits let you customize your mage and shape how you play. You can equip up to three traits at a time and change them anytime from the inventory. More traits can be unlocked with gems or by completing certain achievements. Traits are grouped into three categories:
- Positive Traits: These give you an edge, such as higher damage, more health, or faster movement. Examples include Fire Affinity, Ice Affinity, and Lightning Affinity.
- Negative Traits: These come with a drawback, such as reduced damage, lower health, or slower speed. Examples include Fire Weakness, Ice Weakness, and Lightning Weakness.
- Neutral Traits: These carry both benefits and drawbacks, and may change your element, spell, or item. Examples include Fire Switch, Ice Switch, and Lightning Switch.
Items can be found and used to improve your chances of survival. You can equip up to four items at once and swap them anytime in the inventory. Extra items can be bought with coins or gems, or earned by watching ads. Items come in four categories:
- Weapons: These boost your damage and may add effects like extra projectiles, piercing, or bouncing. Examples include Fire Sword, Ice Dagger, and Lightning Staff.
- Armors: These raise your defense and may reduce, reflect, or absorb incoming damage. Examples include Fire Shield, Ice Armor, and Lightning Cloak.
- Accessories: These enhance your utility, increasing energy, health, or speed. Examples include Fire Ring, Ice Pendant, and Lightning Earring.
- Consumables: Single-use items that restore health, energy, or spell power. Examples include Fire Potion, Ice Potion, and Lightning Potion.
Mages Survival offers several game modes to suit different playstyles and challenges. More modes can be unlocked with gems or by completing certain achievements. The available modes are:
- Normal Mode: The default mode, where you aim to survive as long as possible with your magic spells while collecting valuable treasure along the way.
- Hard Mode: In this mode, enemies hit harder, move faster, and show up in greater numbers, while treasures are scarcer and worth less. Your health and energy are reduced, and upgrading spells costs more.
- Chaos Mode: Here, the game reshuffles itself every few seconds. Your mage, spells, traits, items, enemies, and locations can all change without warning. Health and energy are reduced, and upgrading spells costs more.
- Custom Mode: Build your own game in this mode by picking your mage, spells, traits, items, enemies, and locations. You can also fine-tune the difficulty, how often enemies appear, and how valuable the treasures are.
