The game is a great substitute for anyone who, for whatever reason, can't head out to nature but still longs to fish. There's no lengthy intro here either.
The moment you launch the game, you'll be sitting in a boat right in the middle of a pond with a fishing rod in hand, so it's straight to business. You'll start out reeling in small fish, but your catches grow bigger as you advance.
Visuals and Design
Unfortunately, the game doesn't boast cutting-edge graphics. Still, it can comfortably earn a solid "four" out of five.
The various locations are nicely crafted, but only the water is animated, which falls short of today's mobile graphics standards. On the plus side, the different fish species are illustrated very well.
The sound design is another area where the developers fell short. For a fishing simulator, natural ambient sounds would have been the logical choice for background audio. Instead, the game uses rather gloomy tunes that dampen the overall experience.
