Jaipur, a game recommended for the Spiel des Jahres, is among our most cherished 2-player tabletop titles. This fast, fun card game blends luck and strategy for two players. Your aim is to become the top trader in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. To win the favor of the Maharajah, you and your opponent must compete in a duel. At the end of each round, the Maharajah's seal of excellence goes to one winner. The player who earns two seals of excellence receives the honor of an invitation to the Maharajah's Court.
Each turn, you can take one or more cards. The quicker you sell and the more units of a single product you buy at once, the greater your profit.
When taking cards, you have two choices: collect all the camels and draw 1 card from the marketplace, or swap 2 to 5 cards. Each turn you may sell only one type of card, earning an equal number of chips for each good. The chips lose value as the game progresses, but selling multiple sets of 3, 4, or 5 identical cards at once brings bigger rewards. Success depends on patience and choosing the right moment to trade.
Camels cannot be traded, yet they are vital to your trading strategy. Sometimes they are enough to win the round.
This digital edition of the popular card game includes a detailed interactive tutorial and a campaign mode. Solo play offers three difficulty levels. You can play cross-platform online against another player, or locally in pass-and-play mode. Your achievements are tracked within the app. Signing up requires your Asmodee Digital account. Vincent Dutrait created the beautiful illustrations.
