Windows Phone Pro lets you convert MMS and group SMS backups into Android messaging backups. Switching from Windows Phone to Android and want to keep your texts? Don't lose important media or text messages. You can easily move MMS, SMS and group messages from a Windows Phone to an Android device.

The previous version, Import SMS From Windows Phone PRO, has been replaced by Convert SMS From Windows Phone PRO. Due to Google's recent restrictions, the app was no longer approved to import SMS messages. Apart from importing, all other features are still available.

You can still reach your SMS backup and MMS files through the Contacts message backup and Transfer My Data Windows Phone apps.

This is the best option! Every backup file exported from Windows Phone can be converted into an Android backup file. Transfer your Windows Phone backups to Android and use this application to get them working.

NEW FEATURES:

1. All MMS, SMS and group message backups from Windows Phone will be saved as Android message backups in your Android phone's messaging app.

2. Both MSG and PDU formats for MMS are supported.

3. Windows Phone still validates invalid MSG export files automatically.

This app does not require INTERNET access, so your personal data is never collected.

WHAT TO DO:

1. Windows Phone lets you export SMS and MMS messages using one of the following:

Contacts message backup app, if there is no SD card

Contacts message, Transfer My Data app or Connect With Me, for devices with an SD card

2. Copy the exported files (VMSG, MSG, and the entire folder containing PDU and .xml files) to your Android smartphone via USB, cloud storage or another method.

3. Open Windows Phone PRO and then open Convert SMS.

4. Grant the required permissions so the application can function.

5. Tap Convert messages to let the app search for the files.

6.1 A list of all files will be displayed when more than one is found, along with their PDU file names. Tap one to open it.

6.2 If only one file is found, it will be selected automatically.

7. Choose which numbers you want to convert, or select all of them.

8. Wait for the process to finish without interrupting it.

9. A dialog will show the name and location of the converted backup file.

10. Use a restore app to import the backup file created by this app.

11. All your Windows Phone messages can be found in the Android messaging app.

NOTES:

The Transfer My Data app exports MMS messages as PDU files into a folder, with one PDU file per MMS. Copy the entire folder to your Android phone so you can import the MMS messages.
