Description
How To Raise A Happy NEET is a simple yet atmospheric and highly experimental visual novel from the studio Ruriri, built around the "NEET" generation. It isn't about people who shun romance and passion altogether, but about young, once-promising teens who, for one reason or another, have drifted out of time and space and found themselves outside of school and any kind of work. Strange? Absolutely! Yet the protagonist of the HTRAHN universe might still get the chance to truly win over a virtual beauty.
Gameplay, Events and Atmosphere
The How To Raise A Happy NEET universe runs entirely on the classic mechanics of the visual novel genre, though it sometimes borrows from puzzles that ask you to choose the right actions (and lines of dialogue) in hopes of reaching your virtual partner. The objective is standard by game-industry measures, but it's delivered in a genuinely intriguing way.
Everything hinges on a growing reputation scale, where thousands of parameters shape the main character's standing in society, along with the freedom to reshape your own action strategy in free mode. Eager to reach out to those who have completely cut themselves off from society? No problem: you don't even need to register, just aim for the final result…
