The story follows three friends who are on a road trip when they accidentally come across an abandoned mansion. Their car breaks down, so they head inside to look for help. Only later do they discover that the mansion is deserted and nobody lives there, and the moment they cross its threshold, the young travelers have effectively sealed their own fate.

The gameplay differs a bit from the classic entries in this genre. Everything unfolds from a third-person perspective. The joystick on the left handles movement, while the button on the right side of the screen lets you crouch or jump, depending on the situation. Gameplay is split into levels, and advancing usually only requires completing one specific task, such as finding a key and unlocking a door, stunning the evil clown, or hiding under a bed. There are plenty of missions, each one unique and offering several ways to finish it. Coins earned from completing missions can be spent on new skins and weapons that briefly stun the clown.
