A fresh spin on castle sieges! In Castle vs. Necropolis, humans clash head-on with the undead.
Select the hero you want to play as and show off your most treasured artifacts. Boost their magic, combat skill, and income. This unlocks Knights, Archers, Champions, and Angels. Get ready with spells that can instantly set an enemy ablaze or grant your troops superhuman strength.
The battlefield recalls Heroes 3, featuring both your castle and your opponent's. As soon as the enemy steps into your medieval stronghold, your troops launch a counterattack. Every unit comes with its own mix of offensive and defensive strengths, giving it an edge against some foes while leaving it more vulnerable to others. A Spearman deals 8 damage to Vampires, while Death Knights take only 2. More than 20 spells are available to support your soldiers in battle. Every player earns an extra ten seconds of gold, and gold lets you recruit more troops. Your goal is to bring down your opponent's castle. The fight plays out just like a typical castle battle.
Each of the two armies is made up of 14 different monsters from Heroes III, including Knights, Griffins, Angels, Champions, the Lich, and Zombies. Choose your champion from eight different generals and heroes, then pick a hero to defend your turrets against enemy attacks. Each hero and general specialization suits a different playstyle. It's a clash between a seasoned warrior and a powerful sorcerer. The elements of fire, air, water, and earth carry a certain enchantment. Ancient artifacts boost your combat, economic, and magical power as well as your commanding, defensive, and leadership abilities. The visuals echo Heroes 3. If you enjoy medieval or strategy games, this is comparable to the custom maps found in Heroes 3 and Warcraft 3, and the combat won't let you down.
