Description
Heads-up Notifications Mod Apk
Enjoy the sleek Android 5.0 Lollipop-style floating alert experience on virtually any device without needing root access. Tech reviewers praise this tool as far more than a simple backport, while community feedback consistently rates it as significantly better than the stock version. Key Highlights:
Heads-up displays your newest incoming alerts inside a floating banner complete with full message previews and direct quick-action buttons (Android 4.1+).
Fully compatible with any smartphone or tablet powered by Android 3.1 or higher.
Total control in your hands: explore five comprehensive setting tabs to personalize exactly how and when alerts appear.
Smart pocket sensing: the screen lights up automatically if you pull your smartphone out of your pocket upon receiving an alert.
Secure lockscreen privacy: your personal data stays safe since Heads-up does not request internet access, ensuring zero outbound transmission.
Designed purely as a notification manager, Heads-up is not a standalone lockscreen replacement.
Languages
Courtesy of a dedicated community of translators, Heads-up Notifications supports over 20 global languages (further translations are no longer being added).
Troubleshooting & Common Issues
Verify that the Heads-up background service is active in your running processes. If alerts stop appearing, confirm the service is toggled on and restart your smartphone.
For Huawei, Xiaomi, and MIUI owners: enable pop-up permissions by navigating to Settings > Apps > Downloaded. Resetting the app data or settings may also resolve display conflicts.
Heads-up utilizes Device Administrator rights solely to bypass a glitch that prevents certain screens from waking up. Do not grant this privilege unless you encounter this specific issue. Note that if this permission is enabled, standard uninstallation is blocked; to remove the app, open System Settings > Security > Device Administrators > Heads-up and select Disable.
On legacy handsets running Android 4.2 and above, the app relies on Accessibility Services to read alerts. Conflicting third-party accessibility tools might intercept incoming notifications, so disable any overlapping services if issues persist.
Open Source
Heads-up is distributed as free, open-source software under the GPL license.
Under this license, developers are welcome to build custom variations of Heads-up, provided the modified source code remains open-source.
